Final Reminder - TLD 2012: Primary Passion

Don’t miss out! February 3rd is the day! Teacher Librarian Day 2012 will be held in one of our favorite venues: the King Center at Auraria Campus, and we still have a number of seats left. This year’s TLD will once again see us adopting the wildly successful TED format.

This worked well for us last year, but we’ve taken this model and revamped it. Based on numerous, helpful suggestions, we’ve cut down the number of speakers and allowed more time for interacting and collaborating amongst attendees. Inquiry & QR Codes Examined at Academy District 20 Talented & Gifted Workshop (CO)

The TPS-Colorado workshop held on January 4 for the Academy District 20 Talented and Gifted Program, “Differentiation While Using Primary Sources in the Classroom,” was a great success.

The workshop, with a focus on the topic of Westward Expansion, was presented by TPS instructor and Master Teacher Mary Johnson, and Ruthi Manning-Freeman, Assistant Director for Talented and Gifted Education. Nancy White, 21st Century Learning and Innovation Specialist, and Christine Schein, Coordinator for the Schools of Innovative Learning, assisted in the presentation.
