Personal Biography Statement

Hello, my name is Nick Zell and I am an Affiliate Faculty member in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Metro State Denver. I received my B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Colorado Boulder and my M.S. in Forensic Anthropology from the Boston University School of Medicine. My master's thesis examined the effects of various caustic chemical agents on bone. My interests include forensic anthropology, forensic science, osteology, pathology, and anatomy. I currently work two days a week at the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner. I am also an analyst with the MSU Denver Human Identification Laboratory, which assists local law enforcement and coroner's offices with forensic search and recovery missions and skeletal analysis.
