Personal Biography Statement

As the First Year Success Academic Advisor & Community Projects Coordinator, my primary focus is working with students who have completed 0-29 credits. I help students register for their desired Learning Community and assist with general academic advising inquiries including but not limited to effectively navigating student services at MSU Denver, narrowing in on a major as well as acclimating to a new campus environment.

Remember that Halloween and Easter are two important dates each year:
Registration for Spring semesters will begin around Halloween
Registration for Fall semesters will begin around Easter

Whether required or desired, you must schedule your own advising appointments. If you wait until right before the semester begins to meet with an advisor you are putting yourself at a disadvantage. You risk running into long lines, missed deadlines and closed courses, do not procrastinate when it comes to registering for courses and scheduling an appointment with your advisor.

If you are interested in making an advising appointment, you can email: FYSadvising@msudenver.edu or you can stop by the First Year Success office located in the new Student Success Building at the top of the lighted staircase, a Student Ambassador can assist you in scheduling an appointment.
