Degree: B.S.E.E.T., Metropolitan State University of Denver. My classified position title is Electronic Specialist IV. I also have served as Certificate Contact Person for the three certificates offered through Electrical Engineering Technology.
While a full time student at Metro State from 1973-1978 I worked twenty to thirty-five hours a week as a mechanic for two auto garages.
When Metro State moved onto the Auraria Campus in 1976 I was a student employee for 2 months packing at the old campus and unpacking labs at the new campus.
In the Fall of 1978, while still a student, I accepted a half-time temporary hourly position with Metro State.
I applied for and was hired into the full-time "Electronic Specialist A" position at Metro State in April 1979. While employed for Metro I have received two promotional opportunities; "Electronic Specialist B", then skipping one level to "Principal Electronic Specialist". The state classified system has renamed the latter first to "Telcom/Electronic Specialist IV" then to the current title of "Electronic Specialist IV".
