Personal Biography Statement
Amy Robertson, LCSW started teaching in the Fall 2012 in the BSW and MSW program. She has taught Family Violence, Direct Practice with Adults, Concentration year Field Seminar, and Generalist Practice. Amy has practiced in community mental health, victim advocacy, hospital, refugee resettlement, university, holistic health clinic, and private practice settings since obtaining her masters in clinical social work from Smith College in 1993. She has served as principal investigator on several large grants in violence and suicide prevention and intervention, including grants from the Department of Justice, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and Colorado State Department of Public Health. Amy's practice expertise includes trauma recovery, depression and grief, mindfulness-based interventions, interpersonal violence, and suicide prevention.
