Qualifications: Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written. Social Media savvy. Dependable transportation to and from the Bliss Event Studio office. Physically able to stand for extended periods of time and lift 20 lbs. Most importantly, a desire to learn about and be involved in all aspects of special events.
Time Schedule: Part-time, flexible schedule during regular business hours. Special Events planning and execution will require some evenings and weekends.

Internship Title: Event Management Intern

This will include creating a long-term special events plan to help with fundraising for the organization. In addition, the foundation will be planning for its annual fundraiser. This year, the event is titled the Black Crown Culinary Experience. Several local restaurants are participating in this event that will be held at Palazzo Verdi in Greenwood Village on September 20, 2013. Internship Title: Travel Planning Assistant

Description: Assist with professional travel planning. Responsibilities include: travel planning research and support, travel supplier interaction, pricing research and social media support. At the supervisor’s discretion, additional duties may include direct client communication and marketing analysis and support such as working with Google Adwords and other marketing analytics. Intern will have a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience in the travel industry, working with international travelers coming to the U.S., and working with major air, hotel, resort and other travel suppliers. Student will also have the opportunity to strengthen his or her resume and portfolio in preparation for graduation and full-time employment in the travel industry.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be working toward a Hospitality, Tourism and Events degree with a concentration or minor in tourism. No direct tourism industry experience is required, but past tourism experience will be viewed favorably. A solid grasp of English grammar, writing and sentence structure is also important. Additional language skills are viewed favorably but not required.
Time Schedule: Flexible, but structured, working hours can be arranged with the supervisor; approximately 15 hours per week. Primarily work-from-home or school.

Internship Title: Sustainability Event Intern

Job Description: Event project intern will report to and work directly with the Executive Director, Production team, sales manager organizing the annual LOHAS conference, and producing LOHAS.com web content and the LOHAS weekly e-newsletter. Intern will gain skills in event project management, sponsor management, speaker management, online event marketing and sustainable business content; managing multiple projects with deadlines and various online platforms – Drupal, Compendium, Get Response, Eventbrite, and Regonline.

Additionally, the intern will have strong verbal and written communications skills, attention to detail, and the ability to take initiative and be willing to express ideas. He or she should excel in a fast paced environment and be flexible moving from one project to the next.

Job Title: State Capitol Guide

Guides conduct tours, manage different stations, and make sales. Guides give two kinds of tours: historical and attic/dome. The historical tour is a 45-minute walk throughout the first, second, and third floors of the capitol with information on capitol construction, materials used, capitol architecture, executive branch, legislative process, etc. The attic/dome tour is a 99-step clip to the top of the building with a walk through Mr. Brown’s Attic – a museum with capitol history highlights and insights, and a 360-degree view of downtown Denver from the dome observation deck. Other responsibilities include managing the phone desk to answer questions and make reservations, work at the information desk to advise visitors on the nearby historic venues, museums and restaurants, and work at the gift shop to make souvenir sales. Guides are expected to demonstrate outstanding customer service, clear and loud public speaking, timeliness, and nonpartisanship.
Qualifications: MSU Denver student with at least sophomore status.
Must have interest in Colorado history and government. This can be a physically challenging position. Attendant is required to climb and descend a number of stairs several times per shift.

JOB TITLE: Marking and Sales Intern
