Volunteer Lists

Unfortunately, as of this moment, we do not have many volunteer opportunities. If you are interested in helping our office, however, we can always use help setting up and cleaning up events! Check our events calendar - if you are able to show up before or after the event time, we welcome assistance!

If you are interested in more intensive/consistent volunteer opportunities, or community service hours, here are some organizations, both local and national, that take volunteers:

One Colorado

One Colorado is the state’s leading advocacy organization dedicated to advancing equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) Coloradans and their families. Click here for information on how to volunteer with their organization.

GLBT Center of Colorado (The Center)

The Center is the largest LGBTQ community center in the Rocky Mountain region, with the mission "To engage, empower, enrich, and advance the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community of Colorado – by ensuring that every member of the LGBT community has access to the programs and resources they need to live happy, healthy, and productive lives." Click here for information on how to volunteer with their organization.

The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project is a national 24-hour crisis intervention and suicide prevention hotline for LGBTQ youth. Volunteers use the chat/instant messaging feature to talk to and help LGBTQ youth in crisis. Click here for more information on how to volunteer with their organization.

The Human Rights Campaign

The HRC is the largest LGBTQ civil rights campaign, with 1.5 million members and supporters across the country. Click here for more information on how to volunteer with their organization. (Note: Due to the high number of applicants, a timely response is neither guaranteed nor especially likely)

The Trans Lifeline

The Trans Lifeline is a crisis intervention and suicide prevention hotline for transgender people. Volunteers will be trained in crisis intervention and work as an operator to assist transgender people in crisis. Click here to volunteer with their organization. (Note: Volunteers must be over 18 and it is strongly preferred for them to be transgender)
