The Phoenix Center at Auraria and the Rape Assistance and Awareness Program (RAAP) are partnering to offer Women’s Self-Protection and Empowerment Training, a six-hour class on the Auraria Campus on Saturday, May 11.
The first five Auraria women students, staff or faculty to sign up can attend the $60 training for free. Registration by May 4 is required.
The class is taught by women for women age 13 and up. Equal time will be spent teaching effective verbal, mental and physical self-protection techniques.
