We extend kudos this week to faculty, staff and students who continue to distinguish themselves and MSU Denver through their accomplishments.
Ramon Del Castillo, chair and associate professor of Chicano/a studies, has been appointed to the Denver Public Schools 2012 Mill Levy Oversight Committee by the Board of Education and Superintendent Tom Boasberg.
Mark Jastorff, executive director of the MSU Denver Alumni Association, is chair-elect of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District VI. Jastorff will preside as chair of the District, which includes member-schools in Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, Iowa and Missouri, beginning in 2015. He will continue his role on the CASE VI board of directors and conference committee. He will also serve on the Council of Chairs—a group of 16 advancement professionals who provide leadership for the eight-district consortium. CASE is education's leading resource for knowledge, standards, advocacy and training in alumni relations, communications, fundraising, marketing and related activities.
