ASSET bill headed to the governor following favorable state House vote

SB 33, the ASSET bill, which grants undocumented Colorado high school graduates in-state tuition at state colleges and universities, is headed to Gov. John Hickenlooper following a 40-21 state House vote on Friday. The Colorado Senate passed the bill last month.

The ASSET bill (Advancing Students for a Stronger Economy Tomorrow), which addresses in-state tuition at Colorado’s colleges and universities for undocumented students, is set to be introduced in the legislature on Tuesday, Jan. 15.
