About our Mentor Program

Who are the Mentors?

Our mentors are volunteers who self-identify as an African American who are committed and dedicated to providing students mentorship, career guidance, encouragement, and support from a cultural perspective.

Who are the Mentees?

Mentees are students who self-identify as African American who are interested in networking opportunities, meeting African American faculty and staff, and students, and accessing valuable resources on campus.

Goals

  • To provide students with networking opportunities to connect with key African American individuals on campus and the community.
  • To act as an information referral source for internships, scholarships, and job opportunities
  • To bring in key African American speakers to campus
    To provide scheduled activities conducive to the needs of the African American students
