Each year, MSU Denver nominates faculty members for the U.S. Professor of the Year competition. This national competition is co-sponsored by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.

Peer Observation/ Portfolio Preparation

Portfolio Preparation Short Courses for Spring and Fall 2015

These workshops are meant for faculty as they prepare their portfolio for submission.  Dr. Luis Torres (Student and Academic Affairs) will run the workshops with assistance from the Director, Center for Faculty Development and the staff of the  Educational Technology Center.  Please bring a copy of your department guidelines to the workshop.

Managing Disruptive Behaviour in the Classroom

The Center for Faculty Development will host a live webinar on managing disruptive behavior in the classroom, by Dr.  Catherine Deering, followed by a discussion led by Laura Roth, Associate Dean, Student Engagement & Wellness.  Laura will briefly discuss University policies and procedures for handling disruptive students. The goal of this workshop is provide knowledge and resources all of us may utilize to manage students' disruptive behavior, wherever and whenever it occurs. The event is open to faculty, instructors, and staff who might find it of interest. Please join us for this informative, interactive workshop.
