Each year, MSU Denver nominates faculty members for the U.S. Professor of the Year competition. This national competition is co-sponsored by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.

Peer Observation/ Portfolio Preparation

Portfolio Preparation Short Courses for Fall 2014

These workshops are meant for faculty as they prepare their portfolio for submission.  Dr. Luis Torres (Student and Academic Affairs) will run the workshops with assistance from the Director, Center for Faculty Development and Diane Watkins, Educational Technology Center.  Please bring a copy of your department guidelines to the workshop.

Faculty Orientation

Orientation for new tenure, tenure track and Cat II faculty will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 8:30 - 12:30. The location will be in the King Center.

Orientation to College Teaching at MSU Denver to be held on Wednesday August 13, 2014 from 1:00 to 4:00 in CN 103 is designed for new MSU Denver affiliate faculty. We will spend time orienting new affiliate faculty to the culture and organization of MSU Denver. Seating is limited; affiliate faculty who are new to Metro will receive compensation for 3 hours.
