Description: The Auraria Library will host a special exhibit from Feb. 19 – March 20 to commemorate the lives of Japanese Americans who were detained during World War II in a southeast Colorado camp in the city of Granada, known as the Amache Japanese Internment Camp.

“Connecting the Pieces: Dialogues about the Amache Archaeology Collection” will be displayed in the Auraria Library on the first floor. The exhibit opens on the Japanese-American Internment Day of Remembrance. Matt Mariner, head of special collections and digital initiatives, and Rosemary Evetts, the library’s archivist, will be available in the exhibition area to answer questions from 2-4 p.m. on opening day.
